thank you ... my favorite part on them is the domes. I was experimenting with some new painting techniques and magic struck! :)

Mine too ... sculpted by the amazing hands of Takayuki Takeya ... it was sold as a kit as well as a pre-paint statue by Fewture more than a decade ago. Now, ebay, yahoo japan, or a hobbyist forums are about your only way to find one. Best of luck!

One usually shows up on ebay every 6 months or so ... I'd put a watch on ebay for Alien Pile and wait

I love it, this is what a xenomorph should look like, not the progressively watered down incarnations that have been seen after Alien3

nicely painted... I wondered if the heads had been horizontal, and leant back a bit if it could make a neat chair! `)

Well, it's just a question of space and where to put it, once finished. ;) Unfortunately my space is very limited.

I know the feeling ... it seems with each kit that I complete, I have to re-arrange everything, but that strategy won't work much longer. :)

Lovely, is this the original kit or or a recast ? I bet the original is hard to find now and damn expensive. This is really nicely modelled.

Hi. Thank you for your kind words. It is an original ... I purchased it about 6 or 7 years ago and was holding onto it until I felt my skills were up to the challenge. At this point, the original kit is pretty difficult to find (maybe 1 a year will show up on ebay or garage kit forums) for somewhere around $250-$300.
